Ray’s Tamale King
It would be difficult to find a single fan of the Holland Farmers Market that doesn’t know the name Ray’s Tamale King.
Established in 1997 by Ramon Quintero, Ray’s Tamale King has been a beloved fixture at the Holland Farmers Market since that time. Ray’s passion for sharing his delicious tamales with the community led him to start the business with his wife, Anita Quintero. Over the years, Ray’s dedication and hard work earned him a reputation for serving some of the best Mexican food in town, including this famous breakfast tacos, rice and bean bowls, quesadillas, and more. Despite Ray’s passing in 2020, his daughters Irene Chapa and Melissa Rodriguez, along with other family members, are committed to carrying on his legacy at the Market. Ray was deeply respected and cherished by the people of Holland. In honor of his contributions to the community, a plaque was dedicated to him at their stall, commemorating his 25 years of service and dedication.
