Paul Teipstra’s family has been in the meat industry for over 70 years.
His father owned his own slaughterhouse and was well known in Southwest Michigan for his experience and knowledge of the industry. Paul learned from the best and tweaked each batch of his gourmet jerky until he was satisfied with its tender texture and smokey flavor. A quarter of a century later and Paul’s Gourmet Jerky has expanded to keep up with a busy schedule that includes farmers markets and craft shows throughout Michigan. They offer nine different varieties of jerky, along with five different flavors of meat sticks and three flavors of salami, including BBQ, Sweet and Spicy, Cherry, and more.
