Ray and Judy Ponstein started Hudsonville Dahlia Farm as a small hobby farm in 2016.

They joined the Holland Farmers Market the following year and soon, their dahlias were so popular among customers and florists that they began growing an even wider variety of flowers and fillers. They now farm 200 acres of floral fields and event sell dahlia tubers to those wanting to grow their own dahlias. At the Market, they sell three sizes of dahlias (small, medium, and large) in a wide variety of bright and beautiful colors.
