The Market Kids Activities are proudly sponsored by Corewell Health. \n\n\n\nJuly 29 | Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore  \n\n\n\nCarrots of All Colors  \n\n\n\nJoin the Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore at their first ever Kids Activity and create a fun paper carrot craft to take home! Children can explore all the different varieties of carrots available at the Market and learn about the different health benefits that each color provides!

Children will plant a seed in a small bag with a damp cotton ball to hang in a window\, allowing them to observe the seed’s growing process up close! They’ll also create a seed “bomb” filled with native wildflower seeds to scatter outside their homes\, helping support local wildlife and promote healthy ecosystems.

In just a short amount of time\, you’ll learn how to create and maintain your own sourdough starter\, mix your first dough\, and bake a beautiful\, crusty loaf at home — all without complicated techniques or guesswork.Perfect for complete beginners\, this class breaks everything down into easy\, step-by-step instructions with clear explanations and practical tips. By the end\, you’ll feel confident baking fresh sourdough bread whenever you want — no stress\, no intimidation\, just simple\, delicious results.No prior baking experience needed. Each class attendee will receive a sourdough starter\, so just bring your enthusiasm\, a love for carbs\, and maybe a notepad so you don’t miss a single step! \n\n\n\nAbout the Host \n\n\n\nNan Schut started Wild Dough just four years ago when she was gifted a sourdough cookbook by a friend.
