Chef Tom Hoover is the Executive Chef at Hope College responsible for menu and recipe innovation along with residential dining programming. He is a certified member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF), a national organization and regulating body for professional chefs. He is a past winner of Chef of the Year honors from the Greater Grand Rapids chapter of the ACF and has won many medals from professional cooking competitions throughout the Midwest. He is certified in allergen aware cooking and food handling.

Chef Tom specializes in Global and Allergen Aware Cuisines and enjoys the challenge of new techniques, ingredients and recipes. His main challenge and goal is to provide delicious, safe and diverse menus for the student diners and guests of Hope College Dining.
