Chef Anthony Tenhoor began his career by attending Grand Rapids Community College where he earned an AA in Culinary Arts. He started working as a pantry cook at The Restaurant at 1000 Oaks. Within two years he was promoted to Sous Chef and then Executive Chef.

After his time at 1000 Oaks, he worked in the Tampa Bay area at a private golf club. He then moved to Maui, Hawaii where he ran a marine operation that catered 150,000 guests annually. He then returned to West Michigan and worked as a chef de cuisine at the Amway Grand Plaza hotel in Grand Rapids…he then started his career as executive chef at AlpenRose Restaurant in 2018.
